Cracking The Wolverhampton AW Code

Wolverhampton AW Code Breaker

I will be trying to crack the Wolverhampton AW code on this saturday evening's 9 race card, which features 8 handicaps and a 3-5yo seller, in as few words as possible.

❖ Draw Bias ❖ Low draw essential at Wolverhampton, pretty much every distance, one way or another.

❖ Jockeys ❖ Today it's the old warhorse himself Luke Morris (𝕏) who I will focus in on. Additionall, anything Pat Cosgrave is on will also be of interest.

❖ Trainers ❖ No particular trainer catches my eye.

❖ Bet Selection Considerations ❖

  • ❖ If anything Luke Morris or Pat Cosgrave are riding is well drawn, give it an uber close look on form.
  • ❖ Also beware anything that has been thrown into a race with a clear and obvious advantage. Especially from the likes of the Sir Mark Prescott yard.

Wolverhampton Betting Analysis

4:29 Wolverhampton ❖ 6f C3 Hcp ❖ Regal Envoy (9/1) will need to get away quick from trap 1 under Morris. From there, he has the ability to win this. Has been running ok and not getting beaten far in C2 races. This C3 should be a touch easier ~ so from a decent draw with a strong jockey, could just pop up again at a price.


4:59 Wolver ~ Win Bet: 9/1 Regal Envoy (Unp 14/1)

4:59 Wolverhampton ❖ 6f C6 Hcp ❖ Amerjeet (28/1) has dropped 13lb in 3 runs for his new yard. With Morris reunited, the handicapper giving him a chance, he gets to put his best foot forward from a decent draw in a C6 handicap at a silly price. As such, I can play to small stakes, win only, with very little downside and plenty of up.

6:30 Wolverhampton ❖ 9.5f C5 Hcp ❖ Coolree (16/1) is fit and running well. He can win this from a mark of 66. I make him worth about about half the price he currently is available at.

7:00 Wolverhampton ❖ 2m C6 Hcp ❖ Sneaky Blinder (13/2) looks overpriced. I make him a clear fav to repeat his win under Morris 2 races back here over the C&D. The 4lb rise looks managable. Morris nicked the race on him with a mid race forward splurge/sprint ~ which I suspect he will try again.

8:00 Wolverhampton ❖ 7f C5 Hcp ❖ Moostar (10/1) has moved to the James Owen yard. Owen is noted for doing well with newcomers. Under Cosgrave, on a previous winning mark, Owen yard, double figure price ~ I'll take my chances at the price.

8:30 Wolverhampton ❖ 1m 4f C5 Hcp ❖ Little Saver (28/1) could well surprise them at a huge price under Morris, now back down to what looks like his correct distance at 12f.

His last 2 runs over the marathon 2m distance were not to his liking. I suspect he'll be a bit fitter though ~ after lugging himself round the extended distance through gritted teeth judging by his performances.
