Southwell AW Code Breaker

My attempt to Crack The AW Code At Southwell on this evening's 9 race card that features 7 handicaps, one is a 2yo nursery and another is an apprentice only hcp, in as few words as possible.

❖ Jockeys ❖ This evening I'll be studying all of the Sean Levey rides and additionally ~ everything that apprentice jockey Jack Callan is on. They both ride Southwell equally well with a one in 5 hit rate. They have 5 rides between them tonight, so theoretically there is a winner there to be had statistically speaking. I'm hoping for two.

#Jockey note to self: Pay attention to spare rides. Missing a winner Sean Levey picked up yesterday after his horse was declared a non runner, after which he jumped on another for the same trainer, is vaguely aggravating. Stay awake old boy.

❖ Draw Bias ❖ The draw bias at Southwell is non existent. Back who you like wherever they're drawn. If backing any front runners, pay close attention to whether you think they have the ability to actually get home up the slightly uphill 1.5f finish.

Southwell Betting Analysis

6:15 Southwell ❖ 5f C6 Hcp ❖ Beaumadier (8/1) will be up there at the finish.

Conclusion: Over the straight 5f at Southwell, the aid of Jack Callan's claim and strong handling, puts Beuamadier right in the mix at the last knockings of the race. That is of course, if he can stop the horse running off and doing what he likes during the first furlong, which he's known to do. It's his to lose as far I as I can see.

The 8/1, therefore, imo, is twice the price of his true chance of an outright win.

7:15 Southwell ❖ 1m C2 Hcp ❖ Al Arbeed (5/1) returns after a break.

Conclusion: Has won on the course under Levey for the Hannon yard on his track debut and will prove hard to beat returning here. Decent race it is granted.

8:15 Southwell ❖ 8f C6 Hcp ❖ Outrace (12/1) has been running terribly since unseating his rider.

Conclusion: I presume the Hannon yard will be expecting this one to find his form again much sooner rather than later, hence the presence of Levey. Carrying 10lb less than when competetive previously, he could well run up and down all over these under the strong handling of Sean Levey.
