Newcastle AW Code Breaker

This evening's AW meeting is 8 race card from Newcastle. 7 of the races are handicaps including one for 2yo's in a nursery handicap. I will be attempting to Crack The All Weather Code At Newcastle in as few words as possible.

❖ Jockeys ❖ For this evening's meeting I will be focusing on anything ridden by top jockey Silvestre De Sousa (𝕏) ~ who has a 23% strike rate here this year with 6 wins from 26 rides. He has 5 rides this evening to focus on.

❖ Trainer ❖ No particular trainer catches my eye.

❖ Draw Bias ❖ The draw bias at Newcastle is non existent, especially on the straight course, so nothing to see there.

4:55 Newcastle ❖ 1m2f C4 Hcp ❖ Best Adventure (6/1) is the class horse of the race for me. I don't think the topweight will stop him winning with De Sousa on board, who in my opinion is particularly good at getting fast finishers at it.

5:30 Newcastle ❖ 1m 4f C6 Hcp ❖ Bruce Banner (18/1) has a C&D front running win to his name from this kind of mark. Needed the last run. If he's ready, he might just nick it at a silly price. I'll play to small stakes, win only.

7:30 Newcastle ❖ 7f C6 Hcp ❖ Ignac Lamar (16/1) is on a ridiculously low mark at the moment. Has been competitive on the AW at 18lb higher in the past, 18 months or so ago. He's going to rattle up sooner rather than later. The straight Newcastle track is the most likely place I think.
