Cracking The Newcastle AW Code

❖ Friday Sept 19 2025

Newcastle AW Code Breaker

This evening it's an 8 race card for all weather racing fans to get thier teeth into. 6 of the races are handicaps. I will be attempting to Crack The All Weather Code At Newcastle in as few words as possible.

❖ Jockeys ❖ The jockeys I am concentrating on are David Nolan (𝕏) and his Irish compatriot PJ McDonald (𝕏).

❖ Trainer ❖ No particular trainer catches my eye this evening.

❖ Draw Bias ❖ The draw bias at Newcastle is non existent, especially on the straight course, so nothing to see there.

Newcastle Betting Analysis

4:33 Newcastle ❖ 1m 2f C6 Hcp ❖ Duffus Castle (5/2f) looks to have a fair amount of improvement left in him. The extra 2f should not be a problem. PJ McDonald should get the meeting off to a winner at a reasonable looking 5/2.

7:15 Newcastle ❖ 6f C6 Hcp ❖ Topweight Respectful (8/1) has every chance now back at Newcastle on the straight AW track. Has a clear chance on his best form. Has been running ok recently, so from this mark, in a C6, I expect him to be challenging for the win this evening under Nolan.

7:45 Newcastle ❖ 7f C5 Hcp ❖ Riot (6/1) is a Chelmsford specialist due to his liking for the wide sweeping bends. I expect he'll go just as well as he ever has on the straight Newcastle 7 course. In a 7f C5, carrying 73, with Nolan aboard, he'll be rattling home. Will he pass them all? I think he will and at the price, in this small field hcp, I think he's a reasonable betting proposition.

8:15 Newcastle ❖ 5f C6 Hcp ❖ Nolan's horse Latin Five (16/1) has a couple of C&D's to his name at slightly higher marks than today's 50. His last 4 runs have totalled less than 7 lengths worth of defeats. He's knocking on the door, running well ~ needs to find a length. At 16/1, he's twice the price he should be in my opinion. I'll play.
