Southwell AW Code Breaker
Up early to check the try and crack the AW code at Southwell today. I have my eye on 4 handicaps with Daniel Muscutt in the hotseat.
❖ Jockeys ❖ Daniel Muscutt is having a decent season, he's a decent jockey and has ridden all over the world. I am hoping to find a winner from one of his 5 rides this afternoon. 4 handicaps and a maiden race
❖ Trainers ❖ Trainer focus is not of much use today regarding pointers.
❖ Draw Bias ❖ The draw bias at Southwell is non existent. Back who you like wherever they're drawn. If backing any front runners, pay close attention to whether they'll actually get home up the slightly uphill 1.5f finish.
❖ Bet Selection Considerations ❖
- Anything ridden by Daniel Muscutt
- Solid Southwell C&D form may be a good pointer this afternoon
- I will be discounting the maiden runner ~ handicaps only

Southwell Betting Analysis
3:25 Southwell ❖ Muscutt has a decent a good chance in this on Windsor Pass (11/2).
Conclusion: Windsor Pass is on a very handy looking mark of 56. I think John Butler has put Muscutt on board for the first time thi sseason for a big attempt at a winning ride this afternoon. It will be close, but I think he is overpriced and should arguably be the fav.
3:25 South ~ Win Bet: 11/2 Windsor Pass (2nd 4/1)
4:05 Southwell ❖ Muscutt's rides Thursday's Child (4/1) who is a win waiting to happen.
Conclusion: Topweight Thursday's Child running in this grade 5 from 70 will put the rest of the field to the sword if she gets it all together today. I think with Muscutt up, she'll do just that.

5:15 Southwell ❖ This nursery hcp is not my type of race.
Conclusion: Indigo Sierra (11/2) hasn't placed in her 3 runs to date. She has run ok though, but I won't be taking this betting opportunity up.

5:50 Southwell ❖ Muscutt may well guide Rogue Dancer (17/2) home for her 3rd win of her career, but I just think it's a tall order from a mark of 72.
Conclusion: Rogue Dancer may well nick a place. I might back her if she was 10points bigger, because she's not a forlorn hope, but not for me I'm afraid.
