Wolverhampton AW Code Breaker

It's back to the Wolverhampton All Weather Code Breaker page today to try to fathom out where I might be able to catch a winner or two. I had a nightmare at Wolver last time where I backed one loser and let two easy winners go. Today I hope to be a little bit more on the ball. Cheers, Sandracer.

It could be a trappy day to play in by the way, so I won't be betting to large stakes. Wolverhampton is on the Television (ITV Racing) later ~ in this Racing League showcase they have going on at the moment, so I expect the racing to be a bit more competetive than a usual Wolverhampton All Weather meeting on a thursday night.

❖ Draw Bias ❖ I need a draw on anything that is a potential bet, to be drawn in traps 1 through to 5, or I'll put a line through it.

❖ Jockeys & Trainers ❖ Today is a day to keep it pretty simple really, just use the old experienced warhorse Luke Morris plus the shrewd & admittedly highly unpredictable trainer Sir Mark Prescott by the looks of it. I will also take a look at the form of a couple of big outsiders Morris has rides on.

Wolverhampton Betting Analysis

5:45 Wolverhampton ❖ Scarborough Warning (6/1) and Stanley Spencer look closely matched in this trappy 6f handicap. Today Spencer has a claimer on board instead of top jock William Buick. Scarbrough has the better of the draw in the one box. I expect Morris to attempt to track the leaders on the inside and pounce off the final bend at 6/1.

6:45 Wolverhampton ❖ Further Measure (33/1) is up against it here in this C3 hcp over 2m. He wrapped up a 4 timer, two races ago and has been given a 4 month break, now he's back against the big boys from a reasonable mark, with Morris aboard.

I can foresee and attempt to run them ragged from the front and Morris is the man to pull it off. At the odds on offer (40/1 at billhill), it's almost a free bet. To small stakes, I'll give it a go, win only..

7:15 Wolverhampton ❖ Fleetwater (20/1) I can't say I give Fleetwater much of a chance in this one, even with Morris aboard from a decent draw. I'll watch.
