Big 8 race card at Lingfield on the polytrack tomorrow(wed 17 nov). I noticed the 5th race is the "Claude Duval's 40 Years In The Sun Handicap". I presume from the sponsorship, that Claude Duval is actually a real tipster. Unlike of course the Sun racing columnist and tipster Templegate, who has been various people over the years. I gather upon further inspection Duval is well known in racing circles. Me, I'm clueless, although I've heard the name - I suppose I should have known the guy was real, but there you go.
In Claude Duval's race, I'll be on the outsider Desert Dreamer (update: ran like a pig). Most certainly not knocked about in it's last 3 slightly more competeive races, the mark is dropping, the legs are still moving, and the price is right for a fight in the last furlong.
We shall see.
