TODAY'S WOLVERHAMPTON AW MEETING ABANDONED (jan 5 2008)This afternoon's meeting at Wolverhampton has been abandoned following a 10.30am inspection.
Racing was abandoned at Wolverhampton before the start of procedings due to snow on the polytrack.
An original track inspection by clerk of the course Fergus Cameron at 8.30am was held over to 10.30am, but weather conditions had not improved sufficiently for racing to be given the go ahead.
Fergus Cameron said, "unfortunately the meeting is off. Conditions have improved but the track is still unraceable and there is an area in front of the stands which is not going to improve sufficiently to be fit for racing".
