Race Overview: Samuel Charles has been running over further this year but may appreciate the drop back in distance to seven furlongs and looks worth a wager in a weak contest, getting the vote ahead of Le Chiffre and Blythe Spirit. The last mentioned has run creditably of late but is probably better over sprint trips so may be booked for a place at best. Wahoo Sam is a capable performer but Kevin Ryan's gelding may struggle to give weight away all round. Shrine Mountain receives weight almost all round but is hard to recommend on recent evidence, while Italian raider Fast Gate comes here in reasonable form but it is hard to merit the form of his recent efforts. Le Chiffre has been running consistently well of late and has to be considered but marginal preference is for Samuel Charles.
