Race Overview: A modest bunch, it would seem, and the betting market might provide you with all the clues that you need in terms of finding the winner. Our choice is Lavender Moon ahead of Jane's Dilemma and Make Acquaintance. Lavender Moon showed late promise when eighth on her Haydock debut and, to be fair, this race will not take much winning so she can go well today. The joint-most-expensive of these at 20,000 guineas (along with the selection), Jane's Dilemma has at least shown some ability, particularly when finishing fourth at Wolverhampton last time. Okay, the form is modest but so are her opponents. Of the others, Arabian Fern was cheaply acquired, Amy Lionheart at least got closer to Artdeal on run two than she had on run one so may have more to come today, Make Acquaintance is at least related to winners, but Next Best's placed effort last time came at today's level so she might go well again. For the selection, though, we will side with Lavender Moon.

Race Overview: The shortlisted three are Marning Star, Parliamentary and Red Cauldron, with the selection being Marning Star, unless the betting says markedly otherwise. The probables: Apollo Shark, who showed promise when fourth on his Ripon debut; Cetic Strand, who was fourth on his Newcastle debut; Marning Star, a 23,000 guineas son of Diktat who showed promise on his Windsor debut; Parliamentary, a Mark Johnston-trained son of Diktat; Red Cauldron, a 29,000 guineas son of Choisir, and Tim Easterby's 28,000 guineas purchase, Royal Musketeer. The possibles: Filthy Gorgeous, who is a 12,000 guineas daughter of Bahamian Bounty, and Uncle Harry, a 9,000 guineas son of Mind Games. The selection - although watch the betting because favourites have a good record in this race - is Marning Star, who seemed to get the hang of things late in the day on his debut and who can improve today.

Race Overview: Favourites have a good record in this race, so watch the betting, but, without that, our vote goes to Trees Of Green ahead of Mia's Boy and Day By Day. The selection, who is owned by Godolphin, is making his raceourse debut and there is enough in the profile of the son of Elusive Quality to make him of plenty of interest here. Even though he was disappointing on his seasonal return, Akaiyama holds claims based on his juvenile promise. Day By Day showed some promise behind Truly Enchanting, a handicap winner off a mark of 80 since, and she can go well, particularly given that her stable is in better form now. Kunte Kinteh was placed at Southwell last time but the form only rates in the high 60s, which is fairly modest, and Karl Burke's debutante, Lady Johanna cost 90,000 euros so is one to watch in the betting. Mia's Boy showed plenty of promise in his first two starts and drops back in trip now after a 10-furlong effort. He has to be respected but, for the selection, we will stick with Trees Of Green.

Race Overview: The short list here contains Breaking Shadow, The Osteopath and Sir Orpen, with the selection being Breaking Shadow. The probables: Sir Orpen, who is just two pounds above a winning mark now and has shown that he can act on soft; The Osteopath, who is four pounds below the mark of his sole win, which came last summer, and the soft ground might just help things along; Breaking Shadow, who has been given a clear chance by the grader and he should have no problems with the going. Of the others, Tough Love is weighted to win again but all of his winning form has come on good or quicker; Looks Could Kill has lost his way of late but is very well-weighted based on his best 2006 summer form and he handles juice in the going; Kudbeme got back to winning ways last time but has a six-pounds rise to defy if she is going to score, although she is well-weighted based on 2005 form; Borodinsky ran well from out of the weights last time and you can certainly build the case for him, but General Feeling has a bit to prove on Turf at the moment. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Breaking Shadow.

Race Overview: Hula Ballew gets the call here ahead of Passion Fruit and Amy Louise. Hula Ballew is on an upward curve but needs to defy a six-pounds rise for her recent course and distance win. She loves it here, though, and is clearly in good heart. Amy Louise loves soft going and may yet prove effective from her new mark as her reappearance run last time came over an inadequate trip. Passion Fruit also has to be considered racing from a pound above a winning rating. Dispol Isle has won two of her last four races, but is now three pounds above a winning rating, while Stolen Glance has also to find a few pounds of improvement on Turf if she is to land the spoils. Finally, Weekend Fling has yet to race on going with give in it and Golden Topaz has not really built on her maiden run here last July. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Hula Ballew.

Race Overview: This is quite tricky and maybe Press Express can win, with Gloucester and Just Lille suggested as the main dangers. Just Lille has won his last three and has been raised four pounds for the most recent of them. He is clearly in good heart but has run only once on soft in the past, and that was a disappointing effort. French import Gloucester is hard to assess but he is a French winner and will handle the going and the betting might prove to be your best guide. Much as Press Express only landed a seller last time, it did come on soft going and will have done his confidence good and he is not badly weighted based on his best 2006 efforts. Sporting Gesture has twice won over course and distance but his best form is all on good or faster going. Shape Up has been beaten since being revised for his Nottingham romp in April, while you can build the case for Cotton Eyed Joe based on his best 2006 form. Once again, though, the selection is Press Express.

Race Overview: In a tricky finale, Kenmore is suggested ahead of Wanchai Lad and Steel Blue. He comes in on a career high following his narrow Beverley win last time but Wanchai Lad also comes here in good heart and will handle conditions. Kenmore is fairly weighted based on his heavy going Haydock run last September from a two-pounds higher mark and could go well today. Steel Blue is another that has dropped to a mark from which he has proven that he can be competitive, while Guest Connections showed signs of a revival last time and is on a good mark if getting it back together and Balakiref got back to winning ways on soft ground last time, although he will have to defy a career-high mark if getting his head in front today. Of the others, Continent will get it together one day, Lake Chini has hit the bar from around today's mark, Bel Cantor will relish further rainfall and Give Me The Night at least gave some cause for optimism last time but, in a competitive race, for the selection, we will stick with Kenmore.
