Race Overview: Hurstpierpoint is given the narrow vote ahead of Binario Uno and Victorian Princess. Richard Fahey has won more than his fair share of juvenile events this season and the selection showed plenty on her Ripon debut to suggest she can pick up a race of this nature. She was green and swerved right at the start but still managed to get within a four lengths of the winner. Binario Uno also showed plenty of promise on his first run at Hamilton and can be expected to make improvement. The pick of the newcomers should be Victorian Princess who hails from a yard that has already managed a first time out juvenile winner. However on this occasion we will side with an experienced runner and plump for Hurstpierpoint.

Race Overview: An interesting jockey booking here with Paul Hanagan riding Sir Mark Prescott's Western Point and this one gets the verdict ahead of Just Oscar and John Dillon. The selection has been given a similar route to many of the stable's runners, having three runs over an inadequate trip and now stepping up in distance for a handicap debut. A mark of 56 looks quite fair and a big run is expected. John Dillon on the other hand steps down in trip after failing to stay ten furlongs. Back over a mile on his handicap bow he has to be respected. Just Oscar ran his best race for some time when three lengths behind Private Peachey at bath and he should be in shake up. The pick of the others could be the consistent Colditz, but Western Point could be a blot on the handicap and he gets the vote.

Race Overview: This looks a good opportunity for Freya Tricks to gain a first success, Stolen Glance and Mystical Ayr could provide most danger. A couple of solid maidens runs should see the selection primed for this first step into handicap company. She gets in here on a fair mark of 70 and with ground and trip ideal she should be hard to beat. Stolen Glance has managed a couple of victories this season and although now possibly in the handicappers grip he should still play a major role here. Mystical Ayr is starting to get some consisteny and has claims on the pick of his recent two efforts at Ayr. Neil's Legacy ran a much better race last time out and also comes into the argument, but Freya Tricks appears to have the best form on show and she gets the vote.

Race Overview: Thoughtsofstardom is worth chancing in this company and is preferred over Rothesay Dancer and Blackheath, while Howards Tipple is another to bear in mind for a place. The last named went close here last time out and obviously has nothing to fear from the nature of this tricky course. The drop back to the minimum trip is a concern, so he needs everything to fall into place for him. Blackheath has two Hamilton wins under his belt and is another unlikely to be inconvenienced by the track. However, he can be unpredictable and, even for a race of this nature, he is difficult to recommend with supreme confidence. Rothesay Dancer is better than recent form figures would suggest and has fair claims at this level. Jim Goldie's filly does like to hear her hooves rattle, so any rain would count against her. Therefore, we take a chance with Thoughtsofstardom, who appears to be a touch more versatile regarding the ground. The son of Mind Games goes well on the All Weather, but ran a cracker when second at Brighton a week ago and, if building on that performance, he can gain an overdue success back on turf.

Race Overview: Lake Chini can provide the key to this tricky handicap, while Balakiref and Winthorpe are also respected as live dangers on these terms. Winthorpe rediscovered winning ways last time out and, as is the case with Brut and Katie Boo, comes here with the benefit of confidence boosting performance to launch from. However, he can be hard to get right and, as he has struggled off this sort of mark recently, a 4lb rise in the weights leaves him vulnerable today. Balakiref is a tough and reliable character that has more than paid his way for Michael Dodds over the years. His style of running will always keep you on the edge of your seat and, although he appears vulnerable on these terms, he is entitled to be in the shake-up if he runs true to form. Nevertheless, we take a chance with Lake Chini, who has indicated that he on the way back with a couple of solid runs of late. Mick Easterby's gelding has relatively few miles on the clock for a five-year-old sprinter and, with his fitness now proven, this son of Raise A Grand gets a confident vote to come out on top in this company.

Race Overview: Four Miracles gets the nod over View From The Top and Allaire, while support for Ducal Pip Squeak would be noteworthy. The last named has a bit to find with the selection from her debut run, but is entitled to have come on for the run and, as she wasn't knocked about, she could well post an improved display. Allaire shaped with promise on debut at Lingfield and would not have too much to find to get competitive in this company. Mark Johnston's horses do tend to improve with an outing under their belts, so market confidence would be dangerous to ignore. View From The Top faced a stiff test in a handicap last time, but has to be considered back in this company. Again, market support will be significant. However, preference goes to Four Miracles, who has experience of this course and, as she gave the impression that a race of this nature would be a formality for her when she was a close up fourth here a fortnight ago, the Mark Tompkins-trained filly looks the best bet to lift the maiden auction.

Race Overview: Qaasi can round off the meeting on a high, while Compton Dragon and Kid 'Z' Play are others to bear in mind. The last named has plenty of experience over hurdles and reverts to the Flat on a fair mark. As a front runner, he can be assured to give his supporters plenty to cheer about and the old boy will raise the roof of the stands if he manages to turn back the clock. Compton Dragon does nothing quickly and has not won on turf since 2005. However, this is a poor race and, as he goes well for an inexperienced rider, he can at least be guaranteed to give Kirsty Milczarek a safe conveyance. However, Qaasi returns to turf on very interesting mark and, as a lightly raced type, he could easily have enough in the locker to brush aside today's test with ease.
