Race Overview: Light Sentence is confidently selected here over Carlton Scroop and Experimental. The selection looked like one to stay on the right side of when chasing home Sudden Impulse at Newcastle last time and there is no doubt that he is improving with his racing. This slight step-up in trip should play to his strengths and he looks a solid bet. Carlton Scroop was denied a clear run at Lingfield last time but he has had plenty of chances and he lacks the scope of our selection. Experimental did well to beat Diktatorship here last time and that rival has since franked the form so he is certainly worthy of respect. Activist is a course and distance winner and could prove best of the remainder, but Light Sentence is a progressive type and can land the spoils.
