Authorized 2007 Derby Ante Post Odds Now 6/4

The previous ante post 2007 Epsom Derby favourite Authorized has been chopped across the board by all bookmakers to around the 6/4 mark from 4/1, after an impressive display first time out this season in The 1m2f Dante on the Knavesmire (york racecourse) today.

Jockey Frankie Dettori is confident Authorized will stay the 1m4f Derby distance. Dettori will ride Authorized in the Derby after permission from the Godolphin Stable came through today. Dettori is their retained stable jockey, but Godolphin have released him to ride Authorized, as Frankie has never won a derby throughout his illustrious riding career.

♠ Authorized's Trainer Peter Chapple Hyam insists the horse will improve between now and the Epsom Derby Festival, so all roads point to an easy Derby victory right? If only it were that easy to pick winners of any horse race, let alone 3 year old classics.
