2010 Grand National Ante Post Betting Odds

These are the 2010 Grand National ante post odds from Bet365 Bookmakers. If you place a wager in an ante post betting market and your horse does not run, you lose your stake.

These early 2010 National prices are correct as of tuesday, May the 8th, 2009.
# I will update and archive the current ante post odds for the 2010 Grand National periodically on various webpages throughout the year (usually monthly).

You must doublecheck with the betting shops for the exact price of your fancied runner before you place any wagers.

Betting on ante post markets can mean you get a much better price than your horse runs at come raceday. Remember though, the problem is you lose your bet if your horse does'nt run.

Punters Stiffed Millions Online, Left, Right & Centre

Blog Post Content

Post Body

I will be brief, I could be here all day talking about punters getting stiffed for their winnings online if I don't.

Stiffed Punters
If you were around the online gambling scene pretty much from it's inception, you'll know that Partygaming ran rigged games to get themselves off the ground when known as IGM (iglobamedia), and have pretty much admitted to such. Then there's the $5.3m Microgaming poker scandal, which is still kind of residing in lawyers limboland I believe.

Silvia P's Progressive Jackpot Payout Troubles
Now we have a lady (sylvia p) who won a 4,188,719.98 canadian dollars progressive fruit machine jackpot at the Playtech powered casino aptly named Joyland. She has not been paid the full amount.

To get paid out the full amount of her winnings, this lucky punter was supposed to wait about 40 years in total according to the Casinomeister's investigations, collecting the jackpot at $9k per month. Since then, William Hill have bought the operation amongst other loads of dross, and are refusing to pay on the grounds they bought the good part of this viper's nest of rogues, not their poison. & there's more, alot more, if you read on and on.

The interest per month on $4m placed in a 3.5% or so savers account would add up to about 9k a month anyhow. What a liberty all around, to all gamblers.

2 Year Old Racehorses, Toothgate & Pontoon

Backing 2 Year Old Racehorses
Sterling Brookes at the Oggblog has posted his opinion regarding backing 2 year old racehorses, something which the Coote brothers will agree with no doubt, if you follow their 2 year old racing dedicated blog that is. I think they're all mad by the way. I hate backing inexperienced horses. Maybe that's why reading about the subject interests me.

Clare Balding - Toothgate
In te media, Derek McGovern has pointed out that Clare Balding is 33's at William Hills to be sacked over toothgate, and 7/2 at Stan James not to be involved in next years Grand National. All a bit harsh if you ask me, and Clare has apologised.

Ask The Wizard?
Actuarist Michael Shackleford, aka the Wizard of Odds, has posted his latest gambling Q&A session (edition 228). On a similar note, Caruso has posted an unusual post for him. It's an admission of error regarding pontoon. Caruso does'nt often make errors when it comes to gambling mathematics.

Gambling Bloggers In Perpetual Slumber?

Blog Post Content

Post Body

Gambling related bloggers don't, generally speaking, consistently link out to other blogs, blog posts and whatnot the way the political bloggers do.

I used to, when I ran Gamblog, but I seem to have been drawn into the gaming bloggers slumber aswell.

So what's going on out there around the gambling blogosphere and beyond? I shall be brief.

Well, our friend Slippery Toad has reported that Setanta are on the edge of collapse, which is not the greatest news for sports fans. Slipper also feels the need for speed. One would be forgiven for thinking Slipper meant he needs some amphetamines, but he's actually talking speed rating regarding horseracing.

I think Andrew "Bert" Black wants some respect. John Tuohy thinks Andrew is due some for his Donation of £100 for cancer research via his wife's 5k fun run. I tend to agree somewhat.

Last but not least, Dave @ Formbets is concentrating on the 1000 Guineas, as is Noel Pinder and Geedee. Ian from the Ground Is Key seems disinterested in the Guineas, and has stuck to punting at the Hamilton races for the most part.

So now you know.
