RACE COMMENTARY8:00 10yo Weloof (20/1) isn't especially highly regarded by the punters and layers, judging by the overnight drift from 10's to 20's. You only need to go back to December to find him beaten a length as 6/5f in an identical race, C&D, mark etc.
Drawn in trap 1 today, his tardy starting might not disadvantage him too much. Sometimes he starts reasonably well. If so, and he can get a nice mid division sit on the inside, he might be close enough off the final turn to mow them all down late on, at a juicy price.
Fingers crossed and all that.
8:30 Alainn Tu (22/1 from 33's) arguably hinted at a return to form last time. She has a 6/4f C&D victory to her name carrying 50. Today she's on 47 with Georgia Dobie claiming 3lb.
Nicely drawn in the 2 box, she needs to get out, eyeball the leaders and hopefully capture them all before the finish line.
