12:32 The Fixer (100/1) has been picked up from the French yard of Henri Graffard in June. He is highly enough rated at 85 at the moment. Apprentice jock Mikkel Mortenson claims 5lb.
He has some very reasonable form in France. He was beaten 4 lengths last time out over the C&D in a C2, today it's a C3. It's not a mug horse and the 100/1 available at the moment is worth chancing. Scott Dixon does well on the AW with these type of purchases.
The tissue was 20's. The early price was as low as 14/1. The drift out to 100/1 makes this bet up into a small stake play to nothing.
13:42 Pleasant Man (25/1) is out with the washing according to the market. I am not convinced that is the case. 5 lengths off over the C&D last time out, he clearly has to find a few lengths for new trainer Lawrence Mullaney 2nd time out.
- The capper's dropped him 3lb. Over 2m that won't hurt his cause.
- He's definitley fit and running ok. He won a hurdle 5 months ago.
- He's won at 93 in a C2 on the flat over 2m before.
The 25/1 on offer is somewhat understandable (wrong though), because there are a couple of tough rivals in here. But 5 lengths over 2 miles is findable all day long, especially upon a quick return for a new yard, all things being equal. I'll play.

It's an obvious booking by Lucinda Russell to get this one at it. She's had her for a year and she's done zero as yet.
She started the season on 92, she's now down to 76.
She's a 100 horse on her day and the plan is to send her hurdling when she's ready. You'll be seeing this 6 year old challenging up the Cheltenham hill one day.
