6:15 Alexander James (16/1) never got beat far ever at Southwell when part of the Mick Appleby yard. Now the horse is having his first run for new trainer Michael Herrington at Southwell, I'm expecting a bold show from a winnable looking mark.

8:15 Social City (25/1) has Luke Morris aboard which has caught my eye. New trainer Michael Blake has 2 runners in the field, the other being Clearance, who the stable call thier "Superstar".

Risky bet? Yes obviously. The Blake yard could be pretty much training these horses in public, which they probably are in a way. Social City is a solid out and out stayer though, has a fistful of wins at the lower end of the handicap scale on the AW, and you don't book Morris to school jumpers.

He can win this grade 6 handicap at silly odds first time up for his new trainer, if he's anywhere near fully fit after a break that is. Cheers, Sandracer.
