All Weather Racing Championships - Day 1 How They Ran

5:45 Wolverhampton
Well the Godolphin trained My Freedom was backed down to 2/1 fav and duly jogged up pretty much, staying on and on nicely from the front off the final bend to thwart the tipsters early fancy Solar Deilty (7/2), who ran well enough, but De Souza was long gone on the jolly. Grey Mirage (6/1) followed them home in 3rd. Pintura never got into the race for my money.

Bin Singspiel (7/2 2nd fav) is another well fancied horse to hose up at the AW championships. Easy winner for Luke Morris carrying bottom weight with the field strung out behind. Expert Fighter (3/1 fav) and Kiama Bay (16/1) filled the placve positions, but were not in the same race as the winner.

7:15 Wolverhampton
Another easy winner. Mystery Drama (13/8 fav from 2/1) won pulling a cart for Adam Kirby. The Southwell form is holding up well over the pretty slow Wolverhampton polytrack surface at the moment. Tracks Of My Tears (10/1) came 2nd and Train Hard (11/4) trailed home in 3rd, no chance with the winner.

8:15 Wolverhampton
Viva Verglas (11/4 2nd fav) led from the front and held on very well to make all at Wolver, which isn't easy to do, even over 5f. Captain Midnight (5/1) and Zalzilah (15/2) rattled after the winner late on, but could'nt catch the slowing Viva Veglas, who was tiring after blazing away from the getgo. My one Orten Park is still running.

8:45 Wolverhampton
Fresa (11/4 2nd fav) rounded off day 1 of the AW Champs for Sir Mark Prescott with a workmanlike display, beating the rag Oratorio's Joy (16/1) handily enough. The 5/4 jolly Conserve ran no race for fave punters. My one Apache Glory was withdrawn leaving only 7 runners to upset the each way players. Alleast I managed a return.
