Race Overview: This could hardly be tougher and Ballinskelligs Boy is a very tentative choice, while Distant Charm and Morforwyn are others that head the shortlist of those to be respected. It would also come as no surprise to see Goldhill Fair post a better performance now that he has been given a little time. The last named was well touted before he debuted in the Brocklesby at Newcastle but failed to sparkle of on the rain-soaked ground. Today's conditions can help and Bill Turner's charge is one to monitor for each-way support. Morforwyn has winners in her pedigree and can be expected to get better with experience. Jamie Osborne has been in good form with his youngster and it is safe to assume this daughter of Averti will not be lacking for fitness on her debut. the same has to be said of Distant Charm - a stablemate of the selection whose yard again has a plethora of two-year-olds this term. Richard Hannon has a good strike-rate with juveniles at Salisbury and should not be dismissed lightly. However, experience is the key to races of this nature and, as Ballinskelligs Boy shaped as if the penny has dropped with a solid run at Lingfield last month; he looks the better option on this occasion.

Race Overview: Another race featuring the usual suspects and Convince is taken to account for Chalentina and Charlie Delta. Convince is at least in some measure of form and from a high draw, looks to have more in his favour than most. This is his grade and he certainly won't be stopping at the finish. Chalentina gets further than this but has ran well here previously. Winning has been a difficult habit to find although his stable are at least in form. Charlie Delta is in good nick at the moment and continues to win his share. He is not drawn well this afternoon and might be better over shorter. Labelled In Love lost no caste in defeat behind Leonard Charles and is sure to be running on at the death. Tipsy Lad is yet to win on turf and is likely to be raced up with the pace. Banded stakes victor, Auentraum looks to have lost his way badly and is avoided until signs of a return are evident. Nouveau is interestingly dropped in grade following one racecourse appearance and would very much come into the reckoning in the event of market support. Plenty of deadwood abound a race in which there are few realistic challengers and Convince receives our vote.

Race Overview: The market should offer most clues and Cape Cobra is taken to dispose of Nice To Know and Six Of Hearts. Cape Cobra ran a promising race on debut and probably learnt plenty when fourth to Transcend. That reads as good form in a race lacking any and we select accordingly. Nice To Know ran too free in the early stages of her Newbury race and it would be no surprise to see punters following the filly in an effort to glean compensation. Six Of Hearts didn't look to get a mile at Southwell and is sensibly dropped in trip. Pagan Belief showed enough speed at Newmarket to believe that he was worth persevering with. Up The Chimney is a half-brother to Umistim so is of obvious interest if the market offers positive vibes. Cape Velvet has had her chances previously but off a mark of 77, she represents a high benchmark for the relative newcomers to aim at. A fair maiden by the course's standards and Cape Cobra looks most open to improvement on all racecourse evidence.

Race Overview: Emperor Court is a tentative pick ahead of Esteem Machine and Miss Gibraltar. Emperor Court did not show a lot on debut but there were enough signs in the market to suggest that Peter Makin's runner had shown ability on the gallops at home. Slowly away, there is no getting away from the fact that this was an inauspicious start to proceedings but the booking of Seb Sanders on this occasion is an unquestionable positive and we are prepared to grant a second chance. Esteem Machine continues in maiden company despite having the requisite runs for a handicap mark. He has been unfortunate to run into some decent opposition but excuses are starting to run out at this stage. Miss Gibraltar is a well-bred type and is watched closely in the market. The Rock Of Gibraltar filly will probably improve for further but can be anticipated to run a nice race. Parisian Dream is on a third run and encounters fast ground for the first time. Storm Petrel ran an eyecatcher on debut at Wolverhampton in November but that race looked weaker than this and substantial improvement is required. Emperor Court is forgiven a bad debut and is taken to pick up the pieces.

Race Overview: Gold Hush looks the clear pick with Ronaldsay and Lisathedaddy cited as the most obvious opposition. The selection has been withdrawn from recent engagements where softer going had obtained but had shown plenty in success at Thirsk and was certainly not stopping as the race drew to its conclusion. Ronaldsay has been tried in much better grade than this but ran well when taking on handicap company at Nottingham. She will prove a tough task for our selection. Lisathedaddy is arguably better on Lingfield's polytrack than anywhere else but she gave a good account of herself at Goodwood on her latest run and has place claims off today's rating. Pentatonic runs in the way that the market invariably suggests. Well backed before victory at Bath last season, she was friendless at Leicester on an unsuccessful seasonal reappearance. There should be no fitness excuses here. Uig is running with a fair degree of sparkle these days while hurdler, Sunisa was not disgraced at Beverley on her latest outing on the level. Gold Hush looks a filly with a future and can take this en route to better things.

Race Overview: A poor handicap and Wild Fell Hall is selected ahead of Hatch A Plan and Three Thieves. Wild Fell Hall is still a maiden but there appeared to be a fair degree of confidence behind him on his latest start and while he narrowly failed to justify it at Leicester, this is a similarly lowbrow affair. Hatch A Plan is a frustrating type to win with but connections have ditched Travis Block and have recruited Richard Quinn in an effort to regain the winning thread. The market is watched. Three Thieves is completely exposed on the all-weather but has few turf races on his record. He did win at Musselburgh as a juvenile so the market will tell its own tale. There is a suspicion that Princess Lavinia might need a little more cut in the ground but she warrants respect in a weak race. Almavara returns to flat racing under Charlie Morlock's tutilage having previously campaigned on the level with Jeremy Noseda. Wild Fell Hall is the selection in a race that should not take much in the way of winning.

Race Overview: A trappy affair and Goose Green is the tentative pick with Ravenna and Metropolitan Chief cited as potential dangers. Goose Green was well backed ahead of a recent assignment at Chepstow but he has shown an aptitude for today's surface and with a fair draw, it is to be hoped that losses were only lent to the bookmakers. Ravenna was not knocked about in behind and may have resented the blinkers. Cheekpieces are tried this afternoon.Metropolitan Chief isn't obvious on the formbook but has ran creditably in defeat. Whipcord would be a player if the market support is there. Richard Hannon's team have landed a gamble over the last couple of days so the betting is watched. Prince Of Charm hails from a yard sending out winners but he would need to step up to be competitive. Beckenham's Secret is exposed but connections may persevere with more attacking tactics. This is pretty moderate stuff by any stretch of the imagination and Goose Green is offered up to the mimimum of stakes.

Race Overview: Briannsta is taken in the finale with Quantum Leap and Seamus Shindig holding claims. Briannsta has not sparkled of late but Clive Cox's team are running creditably at present and his recent effort at Windsor was at least a step in the right direction. Quantum Leap is a tricky ride and needs to be produced at the right time. He does well on esoteric tracks and will give supporters plenty of thrills late on in the piece. Seamus Shindig almost looked to have the race in the bag at Brighton before consenting to throw it away by hanging violently left. He has ability but the effort does not match the potential offered on the bridle. Dvinsky can never be ruled out in races of this nature and can be forgiven a below par run at Brighton as the ground would not have suited. It's difficult to know whether he will consent to give his all until push comes to shove. Currency continues to run consistently but it is getting on for almost two years since he put his head in front at the post. Briannsta has work to do on recent showings but gets the nod on account of his stable's fine form at present.
