Race Overview: Arfinnit, Cosmic Destiny and Thoughtsofstardom are all considered in this competitive handicap to open the card but the vote is given to Talcen Gwyn. The selection is a course and distance but he is also overy well-drawn here, something that can't be said about a number of the other market leaders. He is making his seasonal reappearance today but if he is fit enough to do himself justice then he should go close. Arfinnit is another course and distance winner and he returned to form last time at Lingfield when beating Maromito. However, that was his first win since 2005 and he has the worst of the draw here so looks worth taking on. Thoughtsofstardom and Cosmic Destiny were only seperated by a neck at Wolverhampton last time and on these terms there should be little between them again, although they both have the handicap of a high draw to overcome. This is a really tricky race for punters to call but Talcen Gwyn has plenty in his favour and he gets the vote.

Race Overview: Napoletano is taken to land the prize in this handicap with Danawi and Millfield also considered. The selection was a close third behind Drawback at Lingfield last time out and from a good draw here he should take plenty of beating. The booking of Richard Quinn is another plus as he does ride this track very well. Danawi is interesting as he wasn't beaten all that far back in fourth behind Takitwo here last time and a reproduction of that effort should see him competitive. Millfield was slowly away at Lingfield last time and that cost him his chance so he may be capable of better today. However, he looks to have a little to find if he is to get his head in front. Fantasy Defender has a decent draw and he also has the very capable Luke Morris taking 5lbs off his back so he could go well at a price. However, Napoletano showed enough last time to suggest that his turn would not be far away.

Race Overview: Birkside won well last time and can score again here at the main expense of Danceinthevalley and Savoy Chapel. The selection travelled really well in his race here last time and he could have been called the winner some way from home. Although that win came on a soft surface, this quicker ground should not be a problem for him and he is the one they all have to beat. Danceinthevalley ran a blinder in a handicap at Ripon last time when third behind Revolving World and this drop in trip should suit. However, he does tend to pull hard in his races and he will need to settle better if he is to get his head in front. Savoy Chapel is unproven over this trip so may be best watched today, while Coffin Dodger has not sparkled for a while and is opposable. We will therefore stick with Birkside who can make it back-to-back wins.

Race Overview: Copernican should take plenty of beating in this handicap and he is confidently nominated over King of The Beers and Apache Chant. The selection looks a typical improver from the Sir Mark Prescott yard and he answered all the questions asked of him when winning in good style at Hamilton last time defeating News Of The Day. He is sure to come on for that effort because he although he has now had four runs, he did show signs of greeness last time and he sets the standard. King Of The Beers is exposed compared to the selection but he did return to form when winning well at Wolverhampton last time and he looks the chief rival to our choice. Apache Chant was having his first run for a new trainer when well beaten at Chepstow last time and it will be interesting to see how he fares on his handicap debut. It will be a surprise if any of the others are good enough and for the winner we are happy to stick with Copernican.

Race Overview: This can go the way of course and distance winner Nuit Sombre who is narrowly preferred to Sawwaah and The Jailer. The selection won well last time when beating Sawwaah and the race has worked out really well. This is the time to be on him as he does go well fresh and with a proven ability to handle the track and a top apprentice booked he should go close. Sawwaah finished behind the selection in that Chepstow race but he has since been out and won twice, although on these terms he looks to have a little to find with the selection. The Jailer went off too quickly here last time so may benefit from a more patient ride, while Prince Valentine goes well here and could represent some each-way value. However, Nuit Sombre ticks plenty of boxes in this contest and gets our nomination.

Race Overview: Lost All Alone, Ishibee and Marist Madame look the three to focus on in the finale with the vote given to Lost All Alone. The selection showed improved form to chase home Xalted at Lingfield last time and from a good draw today he can continue on an upward curve. Ishibee wasn't beaten all that far at Carlisle last time but her overall strike-rate is poor and she looks more exposed than some here. Marist Madame ran well here last time considering she raced on the slower ground down the middle of the track. She could put up a bold show today, while Dotty's Daughter is another who is not without a chance. This is a tough race for punters to fathom, but Lost All Alone is open to plenty of improvement and can land the prize.
