Shortlisted: Ballycroy Boy, Gracie's Gift, Kingsmaite, Hamaasy
With an interrupted run last time
out, Ballycroy Boy is the obvious choice, however I’ve decided from now on to mercilessly oppose favourites and hold up horses at this grade.
Whom with? Last time out winner Gracie's Gift and the standing dish at this venue Hamaasy
Gracie's Gift and Hamaasy @ 4/1 or better
Southwell 2.35
Shortlisted: Mujma, Little Eden, Decider, Handsinthemist
Trinculo will blast out of the gates and play “catch me if you can”, leaving last time out winner Mujma with fond memories of coasting down hill in the final furlong at Lingfield.
Argentine, Decider and Spirit of Coniston form a tandem from their last race. Of the three, Decider is better suited to today’s conditions.
I am going to take a chance on Little Eden. The “stranger” in the field is an unknown quantity given a 329 day course absence however; his trainer doesn’t tilt at windmills when sending out runners at Southwell.
Little Eden @ 4/1 or better
