Sander Camillo Beaten At Newmarket

2.0 Newmarket
Arabian Gulf (7/1) won the Xplor Maiden Stakes by a neck from the Franki Dettori ridden Putra Square (11/1). The Justin Fanning ridden Eradicate (4/1) was 3rd, 1,1/4 lengths behind the winner.

2.35 Newmarket
Michael Kinane got the 10/1 shot Spirit of Sharjah home by 2.5 lengths to deny the Michael Hills ridden Dark Angel(3/1) in the NGK Spark Plugs/Coachmakers Conditions Stakes. 9/4 Favourite Major Eazy was 3rd.

3.10 Newmarket
Michael Hills rode a strong race on the gambled on Prime Defender(5/2) to get home by a short head, to beat the very strong finishing Tobosa (3/1). Tabose came with a late rattle and looked like getting up on the line, but Prime Defender stayed on well enough to hold on. Jamie Spencer rode the 3rd placed Eddie Jock (9/1).

3.45 Newmarket
Scarlet Runner (15/2) turned over the Dettori mount, odds on chance Sander Camillo (4/7 fav) to win the Nell Gwyn by a neck. Scarlet Runner stayed on well, while Sander Camillo could not quicken when asked to go and win the race by Dettori. Michael Kinane was 3rd on Blue Rocket (12/1), 1/2 a length behind the front 2.

16:20 Newmarket
Dane O'Neill came up trumps on Petara Bay (4/1) in the Connaught Access Flooring Feilden Stakes (Listed) at Newmarket today. Salford Mill (9/1) went close a neck behind. Jamie Spencer came in 3rd on Fishforcompliments (7/1). 100/30 Fav Al Shemak disappointed in 4th place.

16.55 Newmarket
Richard Hills rode Snaafy (7/4) to land the gamble in the Alex Scott Maiden Stakes. Wolf River (16/1) nearly denied Hills in a head bopping finish, but could not get his nose in front. Easy in the market Schevchenko (13/8 Fav from 11/10) ran reasonably ok in 3rd, 3/4's of a length behind the leading duo.

17.30 Newmarket
Newbury based traner Hughie Morrison sent out Sakhee's Secret (9/4 Fav) to absolutely crush the opposition in the 6 furlong Voute Sales Handicap in the last race on the Newmarket card today.

Sakhee's Secret will not be running in a handicap again I should think. If so, the horse will have to carry a truck on it's back, because the handicapper will not be lenient with it after a performance like this first time in a handicap.

Pat Cosgrave rode Aahayson (10/1) a distant 5 lengths behind in second. Amy Baker was 3rd on Imprimis Tagula (25/1), Si Foo (10/1) came in 4th for each way backers in this 18 runner 6f cavalry charge.
