5:00 Maggies Way (10/1) looks to be in with a decent shout dropped back down to the mile. The drop in class won't hurt either. I don't think she liked the extra 2 furlongs in her last 2 races.
She carries 5lb less due the not those so great runs over 10f. She was competitive over the mile at 5lb higher previously, in better races on the book.
The 20/1, very generous, early odds on offer last night have been snapped up. I bet they stood a tenner each way. Anyway, the 10's is still worth an investment this evening.
6:30 Felix (40/1) hasn't won for a couple of years. I guess the crazy 40/1 price is a reflection of that.
However, he's not running badly at all, never does. A decent horse who's lost all over the world in some tough races, who has steadily dropped in the ratings, 110 down to 96 to be exact. I make that a stone less in the weights.
You'll have to bet for a long time to find a better 40/1 chance, in with a chance on all known form.
