RACE COMMENTARYI have been watching the racing on the newly laid Newcastle all weather track (tapeta) for about a year and a half now. I cannot say I've noticed an obvious draw bias. Possibly over 5f, fast starting horses drawn wide left or right do slightly better than those running up the middle, but not to an extent it could rightfully be described as a track bias.
I will stick to my usual formula: handicappers at big odds that look to me like their odds are a bit too big, compared to their chances of a decent run, ie a projected run within a length or two of the more fancied horses.
