Race Overview: Plenty of deadwood in this opener and from a shortlist of Cottingham, Prince De Bersy and Loom, the nomination goes to Cottingham. David Pipe's ex-German Loom and ex-French Prince De Bersy both warrant plenty of respect on their British debuts, however one could not back them with absolute confidence. However if the money really comes for one over the other, then it may be time to sit up and take notice. However Cottingham brings a solid level of handicap form to this race and rated 108, he is the highest rated in the field. He has run well on this ground before and can win at the tenth attempt over timber. Aperitif is a very rare Dandy Nicholls jumps runner but once rated in the high 80's, he has been out of form of late. Fuel Cell and Primitive Academy have both shown some ability over hurdles and both have place claims at least, however Cottingham can finally get his head in front now back in maiden company.

Race Overview: A 6lb penalty for Killard Point will make life trickier and so we will pass him over and side with Earnest ahead of Read All About It. The selection made a pleasing start over fences when fourth at Wetherby last month and with that experience under his belt he looks sure to mount a bold bid today. The ground suits and today's step up in trip looks a good move as he won over it off this mark over hurdles. Killard Point is an obvious danger but had to be driven out to win last time out and whilst there still may be more to come, he looks worth taking on under his penalty. Read All About It doesn't look the most straightforward of horses but he scored readily last time out for AP McCoy and if in the same mood could be hard to beat today. Snipe has course form so is another to consider along with Moorlaw, however Earnest looks progressive and can land the spoils.

Race Overview: Bagan can follow up on his latest victory at the main expense of Baodai. Highly tried over hurdles in 2005, the selection bounced back with a bang when scoring readily over course and distance last month on his chasing debut. He jumped fluently that day and if in the same frame of mind then he will be very very hard to beat. Baodai gets a stone from the selection and the trip and ground suit well. However, whilst he has plenty of experience over the birch, he looks pretty exposed. Tonic Du Charmil would be a threat if brushing up on his jumping, whilst Duke Of Buckingham drops in class and looks sure to go well if putting his poor last run behind him. Bagan looks hard to oppose here and so we won't.

Race Overview: As open a contest as you're likely to find and with a little bit of luck, this handicap can go to Storm Talk ahead of Nostringsattached and Themanfromfraam. One must forgive any horse one poor run and with this in mind, Storm Talk would appear to hold obvious claims today. He has won over course and distance for today's jockey and whilst the ground may be a little too lively for him, he still has a chance if settling better in his races. Nostringsattached improved for the step up in trip last time out and if continuing his apparent upward curve then he must rate a danger, along with Themanfromfraam who also relished this trip last time out. However the ground may be a tad quick and he will appreciate any rain that comes. Pop Gun and Breaking Ball are two more for consideration, with the latter stripping fitter for his recent run. At a price Little Task could go well, however we are happy to return to Storm Talk as the selection.

Race Overview: Classi Maureen can complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Princess Of Aeneas and Border Tale. The last-named looks very attractively handicapped on his 2005 form and showed last time out that he may be staging some sort of a mini-revival. He is one to be wary of, especially if the money comes, however Classi Maureen has been winning well of late and gets the vote again. Her course and distance win a week ago was followed up on Monday with another facile success and although the penalties are racking up, the ground is fine and she gets the vote once again before the handicapper can react. Princess Of Aeneas won a weak seller last time out and this looks tougher, whilst Barton Gate looks too high in the weights. Jayed is now a pound below his highest winning mark so is another for consideration, however Classi Maureen can win again.

Race Overview: As is normally the case, the market will prove invaluable however without that information we will side with Not A Doctor ahead of Perdiem and Knight Of Light. David Pipe's gelding was well-fancied on debut but could only manage a well-held fourth. He looked as if he would be all the wiser for that run and with the quicker ground expected to suit, he can win today. Perdiem has three runs under his belt and improved for the quicker ground last time out. He can grab a place, as could newcomer Knight Of Light. Evan Williams has his horses in solid form and whilst he is yet to have a bumper winner this year, if the market speaks in his favour then take note. The Arsonist can be expected to improve for his debut over course and distance, whilst Lil's Legacy has experience but possibly not masses of ability on his side. The market will help guide to the other newcomers, however Not A Doctor gets the nomination.
