Race Overview: A toughie for punters to begin with and the market will help guide to the chances of the newcomers, however Midnight Fling's debut run looks solid and she gets the nod to win today at the main expense of Aide Memoir and Star In The East. The selection finished third on her debut here despite being slow away. She will obviously get further in time but this quick ground suits and with nominal improvement, she must go close now stepped up slightly in trip. The stable's horses are in consistent if unspectacular form and whilst he doesn't have the best of draws, he looks worth siding with. In contrast, Carolina Blini's low draw is a plus however blinkers are introduced today. She has ability but doesn't look straightforward. Star In The East also has a good draw and Andrew Balding's filly must be on the shortlist. She played up in the preliminaries on debut but if better behaved today she looks a real danger. Aide Memoir chased the pace last time out and didn't really finish her race so she has claims, although we may see her in a better light when sent handicapping. At a price Happy Hacker could go well, however Midnight Fling gets the nomination.

Race Overview: Private Peachey is in form and gets the nod over Shandlelight and The Skerret. The selection didn't run an amazing race last time out but that can be put down to the soft ground conditions. He has previously been in grand form on a quicker surface and he will race prominently again from his good low draw. The stable's horses are running well and he gets the confident vote. Shandlelight scored on the all-weather at Southwell last month having run a good race the time before over this course and distance. However for a horse that likes to be up with the pace, he can be opposed from his high draw. The Skerret should strip fitter for his reappearance (also his handicap debut) and he cannot be ruled out although he mustn't chase too frantic a pace. Kyburg makes the shortlist first time out in a handicap off this lowly mark of 47 however he has shown little ability so far but represents a strong stable who are going well. At a price, Hughie Morrison's Night falcon has place claims, however Private Peachey gets the vote to carry top-weight to victory here.

Race Overview: Our Kes is taken to score again ahead of She's So Pretty, Spice Star and Sienna Star. Paul Howling's mare is one of the most consistent horses in the lineup and whilst she has only won once in seven starts on the turf (compared to 5/2 on the all-weather), her most recent run showed that she is on an attractive mark back on turf. She showed a good attitude that day over course and distance, and can win again off this mark of 61. Spice Star is taken to improve for his reappearance over a mile although stamina must be taken on trust for this longer trip. Monmouthshire warrants respect as a course and distance winner and is only 3lbs above his last winning mark. Shaheer and Conny Nobel are both consistent sorts so cannot be ruled out, however of more interest may be She's So Pretty. Walter Swinburn's son of Grand Lodge has solid claims if building on his recent run at Lingfield and must be on anyone's shortlist, however Our Kes is a proven performer and can win again.

Race Overview: Helen Wood has been in decent form over hurdles but all of her wins have come on softer ground and so we will take her on with Tibouchina whilst Move Over Darling would be a danger if putting it all in. The selection is yet to win in nine starts all told which is slightly worrying, however she showed a decent level of form when trained over in Ireland and there have been glimpses of ability in her two starts in England so far. This will be the quickest ground that she has encountered however her sire handled quick ground so she can break her duck today. Helen Wood is the most obvious of dangers however she was running in sellers before going hurdling and is at her best on soft ground, although she has run well on quicker ground. Move Over Darling warrants a check in the betting however she has shown very little so far and maybe some form of headgear will be employed in the future. Chia has been in fair form on the all-weather and now steps up in trip, so stamina must be taken on trust. Gigi Glamour is on a lowly mark but looks woeful, and so we will return to Tibouchina as the selection.

Race Overview: The Gaikwar is a bit of an enigma and cannot be relied on to give his true running so therefore we will side with the well-handicapped Wrighty Almighty ahead of Wind Chime. The selection lingers on a mark of 55 at present and having won off 76 before, he must be on anyone's shortlist. Quick ground suits, and as he is only five-years-old, it would be folly to write this son of Danehill Dancer off just yet. Wind Chime is another course and distance winner and his third last time out reads fairly well here. He likes fast ground and cannot be underestimated. Lockstock is dangerously well-handicapped, whilst Tender The Great has been in good form recently although the stable are going through a quiet patch. At a price Bold Cross could go well, however Wrighty Almighty gets the vote.

Race Overview: A really open contest can go to Sharaab ahead of Treason Trial and Ronsard. The selection should be fit from his recent runs over hurdles and fences and he looks on a decent mark for a return to the flat (official rating of 48). Don Cantillon knows how win with with dual-purpose horses and having won on quick ground over hurdles, he looks worth chancing here at a decent price in an open contest. Mister Completely returns to turf after scoring at Wolverhampton. Whilst he has claims, he does appear to be suited more by an artificial surface. Squirtle should appreciate the return to quick ground and normally runs his race, whilst Ronsard goes well here and looks a threat. David Evan's gelding will appreciate a strong gallop as he stays well. Treason Trial will need to settle better than usual if he is to see out this longer trip (hasn't in the past) and therefore we can oppose him today. At a price, Noble calling could sneak a place, however Sharaab gets the tentative vote in an open contest.

Race Overview: Saviours Spirit wants a strongly-run six furlongs and looks likely to get it here. He gets the nod ahead of Who's Winning and Mine Behind. If the market speaks in favour of Saviours Spirit then take note as the stable are pretty shrewd. He has been given a mini-break since finishing second at Goodwood and whilst he doesn't have the best draw today, he will appreciate the quick conditions and looks worth siding with. Fit-again Ryan Moore rides Roman Maze for Mark Brisbourne and the horse will need to bounce back from a below-par effort last time out. Mine Behind is a course and distance winner who has been running over a mile of late. This drop in trip looks sure to suit better and he can go close. Rainbow Bay won well last time out but this is much tougher, whilst High Ridge and Fairfield both need to forget disappointing last runs. Who's Winning knows how to win and will appreciate today's conditions more than when finishing fifth eleven days ago. He continues to rise up the weights but it may be folly to rule him out just yet. At a price Ludovico could go well, however Saviours Spirit gets the confident vote.
